I followed the directions; I read reviews and made the adjustments such that it should have affixed perfectly to the chair. It didn't. It spontaneously detached on a regular basis. Oh, and it didn't work with the tray, either-- despite the fact that it is a V3 model and the Stokker website promised that it would work with the tray.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My baby was 10 mo old when we purchased our high chair. He is small for his age ( under 20lbs) and still fit comfortably in the baby set. I also wanted the tray to contain his food so I had to have the set. it was a bit of a challenge to attach to the chair but worth it in the end. Additionally, my little munchkin won't sit still long enough for me to fidget with the harness at this age and it is easy to just slide him in the set. I enjoy how easy it is to move the chair around the kitchen and how secure he is in the set while I move him. Love this high chair and this accessory!!

We were indecisive about getting the Baby Set with our Tripp Trapp chair but went ahead and got it, knowing we could return it if we decided not to use it. From the first time we used the chair with the Baby Set for our 9-month-old daughter, we immediately saw the comfort and safety benefits of having it in addition to the harness that's already on the chair. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Difficult to snap on, but very snug and stable once on. I wish the front portion could slide in and out to make putting my child IN the chair a little easier.
