I bought this as a food placemat for my older cat who only eats wet food - I think if he ate dry food I would like the mat better because it is hard to clean this rubber mat of wet food, it doesn't just rinse off like a plastic mat would. It is very cute though - if it was for a water bowl or dry food it's perfect.
