I love everything by Dr. Bronner's. I noticed on the previous review the buyer had trouble with the consisetency and the smell. If you remove the inner foil cap, the gel flows out too easily, it is there to control the flow. It is thinner than traditional gel because it is all natural and you use MUCH less. As for the smell, I love the smell of tea tree oil and this is a true tea tree scent. I will never use another shave gel.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have other products with tea tree and I like the smell. This smelled like the bathrooms at a campground, like a mix of urine and dead animal. It also wasn't even close to a gel. It was so liquid I swear I used half the product just trying to get enough to stay on my hand to use. When rubbed in it did not lather. This must be the most dissapointing purchase ever. If I could have given it less then one star, I would have.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
