When I ordered these spoons (we had 2 packs of 6), I loved the fact that I didn't have to worry about them containing any harmful ingredients we didn't want the baby exposed to. DEFINITELY a plus!!
BUT -- these are biodegradable, and after 4 or 5 months of use, they begin to break down. On all our spoons, the handles broke...sometimes just stirring yogurt. It is not recommended that you put these in a dishwasher...and I have noticed that the ones we did put in the dishwasher broke faster. (I was testing them out.)
Would I buy them for Baby #2 and beyond? YES because I don't want to worry about the chemicals. Just wanted to make other moms and dad aware that these can and do break. So always be sure to have a back up :-)
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

These spoons are great. The size and shape of the "bowl" of the spoon are perfect for my little guy who's just starting solids. The edges are rounded and gentle enough for him to chew on. He likes to practice with the spoon and can easily get it to his mouth and chew/bite it.
What I really like is that they are safe and biodegradable!
