I just got this and was really excited- but it is not finished with beeswax. You need to add it yourself- which is an additional $8.00. I find that very annoying and the description a bit misleading. It is raw wood- so if adding beeswax doesn't bother you- then this is a great product for you. Otherwise- get one that is already finished.

I have tons of teethers and was unsure about a wooden one. I thought it might hurt b/c its too hard. I bought the Sophie the giraffe one which is great as well, but this is my favorite. It's small enough and has a great shape for them to hold on to. My daughter (7 months) loves to just hold it, pass it back and forth and she LOVES to bite it. The hardness seems to soothe her teething more than a rubbery toy.

I just received this item for my baby. I wanted to let folks know that the description is actually wrong - it's not finished with beeswax, it's totally unfinished. The camden rose website agrees and offers to sell you the beeswax for $9! Not sure if it's necessary to polish it, but it's annoying that I didn't know beforehand.

A beautiful teething ring that our daughter was very happy with. Unfortunately, after about 2 weeks of her dropping it on the floor from her swing it cracked in half and we had to take it away from her. Note: dropped, not thrown violently, and from about 1 foot over the floor, not from very high. It appears to have come apart where they attached the seam together. I would have thought a[$] piece of wood designed as a teether could withstand the might of my 5 month old daughter. Too bad because it was a beautiful piece of wood and nice to have something american-made and non-plastic for her to chew on.
