We have an older dishwasher and we also have pretty hard water. I was using Cascade tablets but wanted to change over to more natural products - and also - those are a bit pricey. I tried Seventh Generation liquid detergent and was having white buildup on my dishes. Ehhh. I read great things about BioKleen products and after doing some price comparisons, discovered that per load of dishes, this product is also much less expensive than what I had been doing! I've been using this product for about two weeks now and our dishes are super clean!!! I didn't really expect to notice a difference but I honestly DO. No buildup. No food leftovers stuck on. No weird smells. The package recommends using 2 Tablespoons instead of 1 if you have hard water, which I had been doing. But to test it out I started using a bit less than that to see if I still have good results. I'd like it to last longer by using 1 or 1.5 instead of 2. So far, so good!
The detergent is powder and doesn't come with a measuring scoop. Get a little plastic one to stick in the container to make it easier for you. I don't have one so I just keep an actual tablespoon under the sink to use with the detergent. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to have a little easy to use scoop.
This stuff is a must-try!

Love this product. Have been using it for over a week now, and the only complaint I have is that it does not come with a scoop to measure the product. I guess its not that big of a deal, because I just use my tablespoon.
