Meet the Green Team
Meet the team that makes it easy for you to embrace green living. We're entrepreneurs, authors, enthusiasts and parents, and we're passionate about connecting you with the perfect green products for your lifestyle and budget.
- Josh Dorfman, Site Leader
-
Josh Dorfman is an environmental entrepreneur, author and award-winning media personality. Best known from his books,
blog, radio and TV series, "The Lazy Environmentalist," Josh leads the Vine.com team and is passionate about introducing
people to innovative green products and services.
Josh started going green in 2003 when he founded Vivavi, a retailer of modern green furnishings named one of the top 50 companies driving the green revolution by Inc. Magazine. He moved on to become Vice President of marketing for GoodGuide, a provider of science-based information about the health, environmental and ethical performance of products, and national spokesperson for Brita's FilterForGood campaign to reduce bottled water waste. Josh has also served on Newsweek Magazine's Global Environment and Leadership Advisory Committee.
In 2011, Josh was inducted into the inaugural class of the Green Industry International Hall of Fame. Always up for unique green assignments, he is the only person who has attempted to "green" Martha Stewart by cycling onto the set of her show.
- Dilia Bareeva, Director of Merchandising
-
Dilia Bareeva was one of the first merchandisers to join our family of sites.
Starting on the Diapers.com team in 2008, she quickly became an expert in baby products and launched the site's gear.
Dilia moved on to manage the Health & Wellness categories on Soap.com and launch their highly successful Grocery category.
Dilia became concerned with healthy living after her first daughter arrived in 2009. Now a mother of two, she's a full-on green lifestyle enthusiast. When vine.com needed a director of merchandising, Dilia was the obvious choice.
Dilia practices yoga every night and grows organic veggies in her backyard.
- Christina DesVaux, Associate Director of Marketing
-
Christina DesVaux is an avid biker and world traveler with a strong entrepreneurial streak. Her first green venture was
in 2008. After earning a prestigious Rotary Ambassadorial Research Fellowship to work in Uruguay, she launched and managed
her own business - a successful retailer of ethically-sourced hand-knit clothing and accessories. Christina later earned
her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Influenced by her family's outerwear company as well as its impressive collection of knitting needles, Christina is passionate about hand-crafted goods. She believes that when we're conscious of how and what we buy, we have a positive impact on artisans, designers and the environment.
Christina commutes by foot or train whenever possible, practices yoga and takes her coffee black, in a mug.
