Marc Lore
Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Before founding Quidsi, Marc was the Chief Operating Officer of Wizkids, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Topps Company, Inc. (NASD: TOPP) and a leading game manufacturer. Prior to joining Wizkids, Marc was the co-founder and CEO of The Pit, Inc., an Internet market-making collectible company constructed as an alternative to eBay that was sold to the then publicly traded Topps Company in 2001.
Earlier in his career, Marc held various investment banking positions, including Executive Vice President of Sanwa International Bank in London where he was head of the bank's Risk Management Division. In 2000, he was named by The Sunday Times Magazine of London as one of Britain's top 10 "new high-tech entrepreneurs and whiz kids."
Marc graduated from Bucknell University, where he received a BA in Business Management/Economics, cum laude, and is currently on leave from the Wharton University School of Business MBA program. Marc lives in New Jersey with his wife and two young daughters.
Vinit Bharara
Co-Founder, Chief Operating Officer
Prior to founding Quidsi, Vinit was the General Counsel of The Topps Company, Inc., the then publicly traded leading manufacturer of sports trading cards and novelty confections. Vinit managed the entire legal function of the 500-employee worldwide company and its subsidiaries. Before that, he was a co-founder, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of The Pit, Inc., which was successfully sold to Topps.
Earlier in his career, Vinit was part of a team that assisted court-appointed Special Master Judah Gribetz, former deputy mayor of New York City and counsel to former New York Governor Carey, in drafting the historic distribution plan for the $1.25 billion settlement reached in the class action lawsuits initiated by victims of the Nazi Holocaust against the Swiss banks.
Vinit began his legal career at the Wall Street law firm of Cahill Gordon & Reindel in New York. He graduated from the Columbia University School of Law, where he was a research assistant to the former dean. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Vinit and his wife live in New York City with their young daughter and son.
Christina Carbonell
Senior Vice President, Retail
Christina oversees retail operations for Quidsi's emerging sites, including YoYo.com, Casa.com, Vine.com, AfterSchool.com, Bookworm.com and BeautyBar.com. Before joining Quidsi in 2007, Christina spent most of her career in the consumer packaged goods world doing brand management for Kraft Foods, Inc. In various roles in both the New York and Chicago offices, she worked on brands like Maxwell House, Fruity Pebbles, and Kraft Salad Dressing. From "Good to the Last Drop" advertising to cool kid cereal promos to distribution channel strategies, her responsibilities were wide-ranging and all about building big brands.
Christina earned a BS degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and her MBA from Harvard Business School.
Christina lives in New Jersey with her husband and their two children.
Sharon Fox
Senior Vice President, Consumables
Sharon leads Quidsi's retail consumables businesses — Diapers.com, Soap.com and Wag.com — which are committed to fast, free shipping and award-winning, 24/7 customer care. Launched in 2005, Diapers.com grew quickly to become the largest online baby care specialty site in the U.S., promising busy parents everywhere: "We Deliver Everything but the Baby." Five years later, Soap.com, an online drugstore, debuted as "The End of an Errand." Wag.com, a pet specialty site, joined the family in 2011 with the command, "You Sit. We Fetch." The Quidsi family has continued to grow, regularly launching new sites with the same fast delivery and great service.
Before joining Quidsi, Sharon spent 12 years in the consumer packaged goods industry in brand management. Most recently she worked at Unilever in their Ice Cream business leading brand development for Frozen Novelties for North America. Prior to that, Sharon worked at Kraft Foods, Inc., as the Director of Marketing for the Powdered Beverage portfolio including brands like Crystal Light, Country Time and Kool-Aid. During her tenure, Crystal Light won several awards for outstanding advertising and innovation. Other brands Sharon has worked with include Balance Bar, Baker's Chocolate and Post Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles Cereal. Prior to her career in brand management, Sharon worked as a management consultant in financial services at Oliver Wyman.
Sharon received her MBA from Harvard Business School. While there, she co-authored an HBS case study series on Nantucket Nectars. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan, where she earned a BS degree in Industrial Operations Engineering and was elected to Alpha Pi Mu, Tau Beta Pi and was also named a Marian Sarah Parker Scholar. She lives in Westchester, New York, with her husband and two sons.
Josh Dorfman
Site Leader, Vine.com
Josh is an environmental entrepreneur, author and award-winning media personality. Best known from his books, blog, radio and TV series, "The Lazy Environmentalist," Josh leads the Vine.com team and is passionate about introducing people to innovative green products and services.
Josh started going green in 2003 when he founded Vivavi, a retailer of modern green furnishings named one of the top 50 companies driving the green revolution by Inc. Magazine. He moved on to become Vice President of marketing for GoodGuide, a provider of science-based information about the health, environmental and ethical performance of products, and national spokesperson for Brita's FilterForGood campaign to reduce bottled water waste. Josh has also served on Newsweek Magazine's Global Environment and Leadership Advisory Committee.
In 2011, Josh was inducted into the inaugural class of the Green Industry International Hall of Fame. Always up for unique green assignments, he is the only person who has attempted to "green" Martha Stewart by cycling onto the set of her show. Josh holds an MBA from Thunderbird, The School of Global Management, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
Wei Yan
Chief Technology Officer
Before joining Quidsi, Wei was the president of Suryani International for more than 10 years. Suryani, a small web application development company with a focus on e-commerce application development, catered to clients ranging from large financial institutions such as Citibank to mid-size retail and wholesale companies. Suryani developed the original Diapers.com system that enabled the company to manage entire operations through a web-based system.
Wei graduated from Bowdoin College and received a master's degree in computer science from Brown University. He has four boys and lives with his wife, Carey, in Long Island.
Scott Hilton
Executive Vice President, Operations
Before coming to Quidsi, Scott spent two decades at The Boeing Company, where he led a comprehensive effort targeting improved productivity, capacity and operational efficiency of the air transportation system and airline flight operations. He worked several years as a product strategist, leading numerous teams in the development and early implementation of new products and services and regularly participating in and managing executive-level decisions that were the subject of internal board discussions and approval.
Scott held several other positions at Boeing, including leading an effort to transform and streamline a segment of company investment decisions, managing the operations of a testing facility and directing a research and development staff.
Scott received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, graduating as a Palmer Scholar (top 5% of his class) and was named the General Motors Scholar while earning a Master of Engineering degree in engineering physics at Cornell University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in both physics and mathematics from the University of Puget Sound, graduating with honors in physics.
Mike Scelzo
Vice President, Customer Care
Prior to joining Quidsi, Mike worked as Vice President of Customer Service at ThePit.com, an earlier venture co-founded by Marc and Vinit. A graduate of Rutgers NCAS with a degree in Marketing, Mike has more than 20 years of experience in the service industry, including positions held at The Topps Company, Cablevision and the Liberty Science Center, where he helped establish all reservations and membership procedures prior to groundbreaking. In his spare time, he enjoys acting in community theater and spending time with his wife, Debbie, and their two daughters at their home in Oradell, New Jersey.
Tara Lawrence
Vice President, User Experience & Creative
Tara heads up the Creative and User Experience teams in shaping the branding and on-site customer experience for Quidsi's portfolio of verticals. Prior to joining Quidsi in 2008, she was Owner and Creative Director of Three Wishes Studio, a boutique branding and design agency in northern New Jersey that included Diapers.com as a client. Specializing in smaller, woman-owned businesses, Three Wishes Studio created identities and comprehensive brand platforms for clients throughout the country. Earlier in her career, Tara worked in the fragrance supplier industry, developing creative product concepts and presentations for brands such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Bath & Body Works, Cody and Giorgio Beverly Hills. Tara earned her B.A. in Graphic Design, cum laude, from Montclair State University and lives in New Jersey with her husband, Jon, and their two children.
Mitch Kushinsky
Vice President, Project Management Office
Before coming to Quidsi in 2009, Mitch worked on the original Diapers.com website as an employee of Suryani International. He also worked on Marc and Vinit's first venture, ThePit.com, running the card trading operation. Prior to that, Mitch was a derivatives trader, working for banks in Hong Kong, Paris, London, New York and Chicago. He has a degree in Operations Research from Cornell University and an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
Galyn Bernard
Vice President, Retail
Galyn leads the YoYo.com and Bookworm.com businesses, overseeing marketing and merchandising strategy and execution for the two sites. Before joining Quidsi in 2010, Galyn worked in various financial, strategic and marketing roles at Morgan Stanley, The Walt Disney Company, Kraft Foods and Cole Haan. At Disney, Galyn first worked in the Strategic Planning Group in a corporate development role before moving into an operating role at Baby Einstein, where she led the launch of localized product in 10 countries. At Kraft Foods, she worked in the Beverages division on brands like Tang, Crystal Light and Seattle's Best Coffee.
Galyn earned a BA degree, cum laude, from Princeton University and her MBA from Harvard Business School. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and twin daughters (who happen to be amazing toy and book testers!).
David Zhang
Vice President, Retail
David is in charge of Wag.com and has led the business since its inception in July 2011. He and his team are responsible for launching the business, developing its strategy and vision, driving top-line and bottom-line growth, and delivering financial results. Under his management, Wag has become a leading retail destination for pet supplies online.
Before launching Wag, David oversaw marketing for our Soap.com business. In that role, he managed all brand and customer communications across acquisition and retention. He joined the company in February 2010 and was the first marketing hire on the Soap.com launch team.
David previously worked at Limited Brands, where he managed the development of new products for Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works. He has also worked as a strategy consultant at BCG and Bain & Company. David received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA from Harvard College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in economics.
Prasad Pola
Chief Information Officer
Prasad leads the technology team that is focused on ecommerce development, infrastructure, enterprise applications and information security. Before joining Quidsi, Prasad was CIO at Hanover Direct, where he led the IT organization in its support of the technological and operational needs of the business. He oversaw the implementation of strategic technology platforms and, as part of the executive team, helped transition the company from a catalog-based channel to a multi-channel e-commerce business. While there, he also spearheaded website launches for The Company Store, Scandia Home and UnderGear. Earlier in his career, Prasad spent several years at Tommy Hilfiger, where he oversaw ecommerce and enterprise applications development, information security and strategic planning as Director of Retail IT.
Prasad graduated from Nagarjuna University in India with a BS in Engineering. He lives in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, with his wife and three children. In his free time he enjoys playing tennis.
